Young activists from Spain, the Netherlands, Denmark, France, Italy, Ireland and Belgium will meet in Dublin on 9th April and then travel together by train to Cork, where a People’s Climate Forum on imagining desirable, climate-just futures will take place.

The ‘Futures in Motion’ train journey from Dublin to Cork will involve facilitated discussions between activists from different countries. The outcomes from these discussions will also feed into the People’s Climate Forum to help ‘set the scene’ and guide discussions over the following two days.

In Cork, the People’s Climate Forum will bring a wide range of people and organizations together on 11th and 12th April to collectively envision a just and sustainable future, as well as discuss what needs to be done to make that vision a reality. This will be a participatory event, featuring a variety of workshops, discussions and performances.
These activities will focus on key themes, such as:
-    What it means to live in a climate-just world
-    Exploring climate justice through the lens of other interconnected social justice issues
-    Using creating storytelling to shape more positive and hopeful narratives of climate action
-    The future of climate activism and the tactics available to activists
